Addington – Alcoholic Mixed Drink

This mixed drink is wine based and tastes great.  I really enjoy using this wine mixed drink when I’m hosting a business party or a more stylish social event.  It’s made using a sweet and dry vermouth which really gives it a distinct taste which I personally think is fabulous!

Ingredients for an Addington:

  • 2 oz. Dry Vermouth
  • 2 oz. Sweet Vermouth
  • Club Soda
  • Orange wedge
  • Ice

Fill a chilled collins glass with ice, the dry and sweet vermouth, and club soda.  Next, twist the orange wedge letting the juice go into the collins glass and then place the wedge in the glass.

Enjoy!

Blood on Sand Cocktail – Alcoholic Mixed Drink

If your a scotch drinker like myself, you’ll love the blood on sand mixed drink.  It’s one of the best, original, and great tasting scotch drinks out there in my opinion.

The next time your hosting a more formal party, or having a party for business partners, etc. then this is the drink you need to be serving!  Blood on Sand Cocktail is a classic and mixes the different alcohols and mixers together in a great and almost perfect way!

Blood on Sand Cocktail Ingredients:

  • 1/2 oz Scotch
  • 1/2 oz Cherry-flavored Brandy
  • 1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 1 tbsp Orange Juice
  • Ice

Shake with Ice using a shaker like the boston shaker and then strain into a glass.

Fuzzy Navel – Alcoholic Drink

The Fuzzy Navel is an old time classic that has had many attempts at trying to make it better.  Company after company has tried to reinvent this classic drink, however, all have failed in my opinion.  Most people I come into contact with still enjoy the classic version of the fuzzy navel more than any of the more modern attempts at it.

So in light of that, here’s what you need for the classic fuzzy navel:

  • 1 oz. Vodka
  • 1/2 oz. Peach Schnapps
  • 6 oz. Orange Juice
  • Orange Slice
  • Ice

Mix all the ingredient in a cocktail shaker, we prefer the boston shaker, except for the orange slice using cracked ice.  Pour the drink into a chilled glass, we prefer the collins glass for this drink, and garnish with the orange slice.

Enjoy!

The Big Chill is a great frozen mixed drink that chicks really seem to dig.  This is one of my most served drink when I’m entertaining a member of the opposite sex!  Woman like this drink, yet it still has a strong enough taste that men don’t feel like they are sissy’s for drinking it!

Place all the ingredients into your blender and mix until it becomes a nice smooth texture.  I personally like to make this drink as thick as possible without any lumps of course.

Christmas Cranberry Punch – Non-Alcoholic Drink

This is a great drink and while the name says Christmas in it, its actually a great mixed drink for all year long, especially anytime during the winter.  So, in spirit of the giant snowstorm we are experiencing here in the northeast of the United States, we hope you enjoy!

You need:

  • 7 1/2 cups Cranberry juice cocktail
  • 3 3/4 cups Orange juice
  • 22 1/2 ounces Sugar-free lemon-lime pop

Combine the Cranberry and Orange Juices into a large punch bowl.  Next pour the lemon-lime soda down the sides of the punch bowl then simply float the whole cranberries on top of the punch.  You can use as many or as few as you like.  Whatever you think looks the best.

Banana Lover – Alcoholic Drink

I was at a party this weekend and ran into a drink that my friend called the Banana Lover.  It’s a great tasting frozen mixed drink.  I liked it so much that I asked him for the recipe so that all of you can give it a taste!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 oz Amaretto
  • 1 oz Creme de Banane
  • 2 oz Orange Juice
